Google Ads advertiser verification
Google Ads advertiser verification

Recently, Google has begun to randomly ask advertisers to provide detailed information about their advertised businesses.

Advertisers receive an email instructing them to undergo advertiser verification by completing a questionnaire in Google Ads. Until the verification is passed, all ads in the account are suspended. The account has 30 days to pass this verification. 10 days before the deadline, you will receive a second reminder email. If you don't pass the check in time, your account will eventually be blocked.

Here’s a guide from Ave Ads on how to pass this check correctly and successfully.

General provisions

  1. The verification is carried out by the client themselves, as the questionnaire requires data related to the advertised site/application or to the white page that the ad leads to.
  2. When going through the verification process, use an anti-detection browser, with a location appropriate to the location of the company on whose behalf the business on the white page is working, in a language appropriate to the location of the company, and from the Google Ads account that manages the adverts.
  3. You fill out the form as a representative of the business you are advertising for. If a white page is used, you enter the data according to it.
  4. The white page must be functional, free of contradictions and consistent in terms of subject matter and content with the targeting, keywords and adverts in the Google Ads account. If there are clickable elements on the landing page, they should also function as intended (see the product, read more, etc.)
  5. You should only mention Ave Ads (legal entity: Simple Ads Ltd) in question 25 - "Who pays for your ads?".
  6. The answers in the questionnaire must not contradict the information provided in your Google Ads account. Check the data specified in the login from which you are checked and which is linked to your Google Ads account.
  7. It’s vital to understand that questionnaires are checked by humans, not SEO algorithms. A Google specialist will go to your landing page, check the data and test its work in relation to the functionality stated in the questionnaire, and compare your ad with the content of the landing page. If your website does not contain information about the seller, user agreement and data processing policy, does not allow you to make an application for a product/service, or if there are obvious contradictions in the content of your website, it is very likely that you will not pass the verification.
